The club pulled out all the stops and belatedly celebrated being named as East of Scotland Tennis club of the year with a shindig at The Merlin. Club member Les Nicolson and his band Frank and the Twins played a fantastic set which had the crowd on its feet for the whole night. The band donated their services for free, and the club gifted all the proceeds, which amounted to £450, to Scottish children’s charity CHILDREN 1st . Delighted CHILDREN 1ST Fundraiser, Lianne Fyfe said 'We are incredibly grateful to all those involved for their generosity and for using their celebration to raise funds for us' Lianne is pictured here receiving a cheque for £450 from club captain Chris Giles (left) and Les Nicolson of Frank and the Twins |
